Privacy Policy
PEO Fit Check is operated by WR Machine, LLC ("we," "us"). This notice explains what we collect on peofitcheck.com, what we do with it, who else handles it, and the choices you have. The site is intended for businesses in the United States. Our Terms of Service describe the service itself; this notice describes the data.
1. Answering the questions
You can answer the six questions and see your result without giving us anything. Your answers, your result, and the cost range are worked out in your browser. Nothing leaves your browser until you click a button that sends it, and the page's own code sets no cookies. Section 6 covers the platform the site runs on and any advertising tags.
2. What we collect when you submit
If you ask for an introduction: your name, company, work email, phone, and role; your six answers, your result, and a fit score we compute from your answers; the consent sentence you saw, its version, and the time you clicked; and the consent certificate described in section 4.
If you ask for your result by email, or ask to be reminded when your company is bigger: your email address, your answers, and your result. Nothing else. No phone number, and no permission for anyone to call you.
With every submission: the page address including any campaign codes in it, the site that referred you, your browser's user-agent string, and the time. The platform that receives the submission logs your IP address as part of receiving it.
We do not ask for anything else, and section 10 lists what we do not want.
3. How we use it
- To show your result and cost range.
- To send the email you asked for.
- To make the introductions you asked for.
- To keep a record of what you agreed to, and to answer questions or complaints about calls, texts, or emails you received.
- To measure and improve the site and our advertising, in aggregate.
- To comply with law and to protect the site and its users.
We do not sell or rent contact lists. We do not use your answers or contact details for any purpose not listed here without asking you first.
4. Introductions to Providers
When you click the button on the introduction form, we send your introduction to up to three PEO providers ("Providers") selected from our network based on your answers. An introduction includes your name, company, work email, phone, role, a summary of your answers, your result and fit score, and your consent record. Providers pay us for introductions, as the Terms explain. Once a Provider has your introduction, its own privacy policy governs what it does with it, and we cannot recall what has been sent. We will not send your information to additional Providers without a new request from you.
Consent record. The introduction form uses a consent-certification service (TrustedForm, operated by ActiveProspect) that independently records how the form was completed: the page as you saw it, your interactions with the form, timestamps, your IP address, and browser details. The certificate is stored with your record and passed to the Providers that receive your introduction, so that they and we can show what you agreed to.
5. Calls, texts, and emails
The sentence above the button on the introduction form is the permission you give the Providers, and us, to contact you. The Terms explain how to stop contact and how quickly we act on that. From us, you will receive the emails you ask for: your result, a receipt listing what your introduction contained, and a reminder if you asked for one. If we ever send anything beyond that, it will carry an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribes within ten business days. Asking for your result by email does not give anyone permission to call you.
6. Who else handles your information
- Website and contact platform. The site is built on, and your submissions are stored in, a third-party customer-relationship platform that also hosts the page and sends our email. It logs requests, including IP addresses, as part of running the site.
- Consent certification. See section 4.
- Typeface. The page loads its typeface from Google Fonts, so your browser requests it from Google's servers when the page loads, and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Advertising and analytics tags. We buy search advertising. Where deployed, conversion and analytics tags from the advertising platforms we use (for example Google Ads or Microsoft Advertising) record that a visit or a submission happened so we can measure our ads. They may set cookies, and the platform may use that data under its own policy. Section 8 explains how to opt out.
- Law, safety, and advisers. We share information when the law requires it, to enforce our Terms, to protect the site, our users, or others, and with our professional advisers under confidentiality.
- Business transfer. If our business is sold or merged, your information goes with it, still under this notice.
Service providers may use your information only to provide their service to us.
7. How long we keep it
Introduction and consent records: for as long as we may need them to answer questions or claims about contact you received, and as the law requires. Email-only records: until you ask us to delete them or we no longer need them. Aggregate statistics that identify no one: indefinitely.
8. Your choices and rights
Stop contact. See section 5 and the Terms.
See, correct, or delete your information. Email [email protected]. We confirm it is you by matching the email address you used and, if needed, details from your answers. We answer within 45 days. We cannot delete what a Provider already holds; on request, we tell you which Providers to contact.
"Sale" or "sharing." Under California law and similar laws in other states, sending your introduction to a Provider that pays us counts as a "sale" of personal information. We do it only when you click the button asking us to, and never before. Advertising tags (section 6) may count as "sharing." To opt out of both for the future, turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser, which we treat as an opt-out for that browser, or email with the subject "Opt Out of Sale." Opting out does not undo an introduction you already requested. We do not charge more or give less to people who exercise their rights, and we offer no financial incentive for your data.
State laws. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Oregon, Texas, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws may also have the right to a portable copy of their data, to opt out of profiling, and to appeal a denied request. Use the same email address, with "Privacy Rights Request" or "Privacy Rights Appeal" in the subject line. You may use an authorized agent if the agent shows us your written authorization. If we deny an appeal, we tell you how to reach your state attorney general.
9. Security
Data travels over encrypted connections, and access is limited to the people who need it. No method is perfect. If a breach affects your information, we notify you and regulators as the law requires.
10. What we do not want
This is a screening tool for a business, not a place to submit employee data. Do not enter information about individual employees, health or medical information, payroll or census files, Social Security or account numbers, or tax IDs. If we find such data in a submission, we delete it. The site is not for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
11. Changes
We post changes here with a new date. For material changes, we email the people who have given us an address at least 30 days in advance.
